1903 to 2003, the Reunion celebrating 100 years in Canada is now history. Gerwings, 430 of them, came from near & far including Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, Yukon, California, Minnesota, New Jersey, Connecticut and 1 person from Germany.
EVERYONE had a great time, renewing acquaintances, making new ones, visiting, singing, telling the family stories, worshiping, sight seeing, and of course eating. Hats off to Connie Gerwing & Alphonse Gerwing & their organizing committee for their foresight in organizing the event as well as for the long hours of hard work that was needed to make it such a success. The people of the community of Lake Lenore were gracious hosts.
